Friends of Stretford Public Hall are looking for a number of volunteers to support activities in the Hall as it moves forwards with transforming the space into a multi-use arts and cultural centre. We are particularly looking for people who would be interested in building services and receptionist roles with more information on the roles and how to apply below.
We are always interested in people joining our wider volunteer team too, to support on areas such as events, communications, fundraising and heritage and education. Sign-up here now.
Volunteer Building Services / Maintenance Manager roles
Friends of Stretford Public Hall are looking for a volunteer(s) to assist in help managing some of the services in our beautiful building. We are looking for somebody with relevant skills and expertise in helping to organise the maintenance of our lifts, boiler, alarm systems, emergency lighting, lightening protection. We do not expect people to be able to actually do the work, but be able to find and engage with competent contractors and be able to request, assess and collate quotations. You would be part of our volunteer team and would work alongside one of our board members.
If you are interested, or would like to know more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteer Building Manager and Receptionist roles
We are also looking for volunteers to be our building managers and receptionists. Hours to be negotiated to suit you and reasonable expenses will be paid by prior arrangement. These roles are essential as to ensure the success of the hall, we need to open the hall every day to allow the community to access the building and rent the space out to generate income.
