The Stretford born 'Father of British Noir' Ted Lewis, is to be celebrated at Stretford Public Hall.
Ted Lewis was born at Stretford in 1940 and went to be an artistic polymath. Ted Lewis is arguably best know for writing the novel that inspired Get Carter and for creating the graphics for the Beatles Yellow Submarine. He was a writer, an artist and a jazz musician.
To celebrate this local lad who did good Monty Martin: Author of Ted Lewis, Hard or Soft Boiled and founder of the Ted Lewis Group will make an illustrated presentation of Ted Lewis’s writing and graphic art.
