September 2020: Hall Update

September has seen the welcome return to the Hall of many of our classes, which are now running in line with government guidelines on Covid-19. Thank you to everyone who has come along and supported the classes so far!  Should you wish to book a class now or in the future you will find the details of how to do this on our website here.

To enable September’s return of activities we have made many changes to the Hall to keep it in line with current guidance. These include: hand sanitiser dispensers throughout the Hall; frequent cleaning of communal spaces; a one-way system, and new signage. You may be aware that some classes have unfortunately not returned yet, this is due to Covid 19 regulations about time between classes etc. We hope you understand that we working with many guidelines that are changed regularly.

Work is very much underway with the renovations to the Ballroom. New toilets and bars areas have been created, wiring and plumbing addressed and new colours for its decoration decided on. The works are currently on schedule to be completed for Christmas and it is looking fantastic! Great care is being taken to modernise the space whilst keeping its original character.

Finally, wonderful news! We have been successful in our bid for funding to pilot a new digital outreach project at the Hall, to help local resident get online. The service will include an area with a number of computer and/or tablets for Stretford residents to use, along with free internet access. Watch this space for further news on this later in the year.
