November at the Hall: supporting the community during lockdown.

 Remembrance Sunday at the Hall.

During November the Hall is continuing to work hard to deliver classes, services and events in line with current government guidelines.

Throughout the winter, we are continuing to operate Stretford Community Hub, providing our local community with ongoing practical and emotional support. We have already supported local residents with enquiries about food deliveries, prescriptions, personal safety and other relevant services they can access. Our activities are delivered in partnership with Trafford Citizens Advice, who can also offer support on a number of issues including employment issues (eg redundancy), housing rights and welfare support. For further information about this service or support from our Hub please contact the main Trafford Community Response phoneline on 0300 330 1553.

During November our exercise classes have continued online and currently include a free online mindfulness class. Further, we have supported the Pink Purse Cabaret, which took place online; the event bought together the LGBTQ+ community in a celebration of creativity through comedy, singing, dance, poetry and lots of laughs! And throughout November you may have seen our new colourful flags flying outside the Hall. These were designed by the winners of last month’s flag completion. We hope they made you smile!

As we will not be able to hold our usual Christmas Fair in December because of the ongoing Ballroom renovations (and likely government restrictions), we have been working towards celebrating Christmas with you in other ways. Look out for more details coming soon!
