Join our Board & shape the hall's future

Would you like to play an important role in shaping the future of Stretford Public Hall?

As we approach our AGM, Friends of Stretford Public Hall (FOSPH) are on the look-out for people with passion and enthusiasm to join our Board of Directors.

There is no person specification for the perfect director. In fact, we want a real balance of skills and personalities to help steer the future development of Stretford Public Hall. If you are passionate about co-operatives, community business, and local arts and culture, and want to have a voice and impact in your local community, you could be just the person we need...

We want to reflect the diversity of our local community within our organisation and we recognise this needs to start at a Board level. As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from anyone interested in sharing their skills and experience with the Board. However, as Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities and young people aged 18 – 25 years are currently under-represented on our Board, we would particularly welcome applications from candidates in these groups.

Friends of Stretford Public Hall’s Board of Directors is elected by and from our members. Democracy is the lifeblood of co-operatives and we want as many of our members as possible to get involved in the election process, either standing as candidates, nominating candidates or voting for candidates.

We currently have vacancies for at least two new Board members, to join the Board in October 2020. We are particularly keen to appoint new members with skills and experience relating to human resources, and marketing and communications.
