It has been a difficult start to 2021. So, we wanted to let you know about the support services available to you 2021, including the continuation of our own Stretford Hub.
The first point of contact if you need any advice, information and support is the Trafford Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), which you can call for free on 0808 278 7803. This adviceline is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Trafford CAB have a team of trained advisers on hand to offer support with a wide range of issues including housing, employment, welfare rights and universal credit, as well as mental health support and advice on accessing the Foodbank.
(Please note that the old Trafford CAB number was 0300 330 9073. This number is still in operation but the new 0808 278 7803 number is free).
If you need support with day-to-day things like help picking up prescriptions, accessing food shopping, or are just feeling like you need a bit of support, Trafford CAB will put your call through to our team here at Stretford Public Hall. We have a team of volunteers answering the phone who can help you access the information and support you need.
Further, you may find this list of contacts helpful - it is taken from our last 'The Civic' newsletter - which we distributed around Stretford before Christmas.
