We are really pleased to share here that our fabulous Ballroom’s renovation is very nearly completed. We wanted to share these amazing images with you …
The Ballroom renovation has transformed the Ballroom and the other adjacent spaces on the Hall's first floor, with modern improvements such as fully functioning and versatile bars and food serving areas, accessible toilets on the Ballroom level, a new heating and ventilation system (including traditional cast iron radiators), and adaptable LED lighting. One last push and everything should be completed by the end of the month!!!
Recently we welcomed Paul Earl, who has joined the staff team as our new Digital Skills Project Coordinator. Paul will be leading on the development of our Lottery-funded digital outreach project, and supporting the delivery of our Census Support Centre contract. Welcome Paul! More to follow on these projects here soon.
Our Stretford Hub continues to support local residents - we handled 27 calls last week helping local residents with issues such as registering their CEV status, access to food and prescriptions, and a few friendly chats!
The first point of contact if you need any advice, information and support is the Trafford Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), which you can call for free on 0808 278 7803. This adviceline is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Trafford CAB have a team of trained advisers on hand to offer support with a wide range of issues including housing, employment, welfare rights and universal credit, as well as mental health support and advice on accessing the Foodbank.
If you need support with day-to-day things like help picking up prescriptions, accessing food shopping, or are just feeling like you need a bit of support, Trafford CAB will put your call through to our team here at Stretford Public Hall. We have a team of volunteers answering the phone who can help you access the information and support you need.
