The Stretford Community Response Hub’s last official day was the 31 August 2020.
Stretford Public Hall set up this service at the end of March 2020, as part of our response to Covid 19. For just over five months we developed and delivered our service, which helped to meet the needs of many of Stretford’s residents, including especially vulnerable members of our community. It was part of Trafford Council’s borough wide action.
In these few vital months our dedicated staff and volunteers worked together and what we achieved was fantastic! For example, together we:
Answered over 850 incoming calls for help;
Delivered over 360 Foodbank parcels;
Helped with over 100 food shop orders;
Conducted over 470 wellbeing calls;
Delivered 57 prescriptions;
Delivered over 9000 plus newsletters and flyers to households across Stretford, and
bought and delivered one much needed microwave!

We hope to use what we learnt throughout this time to continue developing our activities, events and services in line with local needs.
