Community Cinema - Sideways

Friends of Stretford Public Hall's community cinema returns for its autumn season with the hit comedy "Sideways".

This time around, we're inviting you to fully experience the central character in the film - wonderful wine. You will receive a fabulous free glass of wine on arrival. Doors open at 6pm to enjoy your wine and the film will screen at 7pm on Saturday 23rd September. Tickets are just £3 per adult and can be purchased in advance below, or on the night

"Sideways is the 2004-vintage, Oscar-winning film in which a wine buff and a drunkard tour Californian vineyards. It is a glorious, bittersweet comedy of male friendship and midlife crisis - it follows two men in their forties, Miles Raymond (Paul Giamatti), a depressed teacher and unsuccessful writer and Jack Cole (Thomas Haden Church), a past-his-prime actor, who take a week-long road trip to Santa Barbara wine country to celebrate Jack's upcoming wedding."
